IMPORTANT NOTICE: EARLY DISMISSAL FOR WCHS & WCJHS

Watson Chapel School District Families and Community,

Approximately 11:40 a.m., the district administration of Watson Chapel School District (WCSD) was made aware of an unexpected, hazardous power utility pole that needs immediate attention.

Due to an emergency utility power pole being replaced and creating this hazardous condition, Watson Chapel High School (WCHS) and Watson Chapel Junior High School (WCJHS) will dismiss early today at 1:30 p.m. This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Both schools will follow the normal dismissal operations.

All elementary schools are not affected and will continue to operate on their normal schedules.

Additionally, tonight’s football game against Jacksonville High School will continue as scheduled.

We appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation of our families as we respond to this unexpected situation. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.
