Greetings Watson Chapel School District Families and Staff, We are pleased to share that Watson Chapel School District will reopen and resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. All schools will operate on their regular schedules, including transportation services. All extracurricular activities, athletic events, practices, and after-school programs will also proceed as scheduled. While primary roadways have shown improvement, many secondary roads throughout our district remain severely impacted by ice, particularly those used for student bus routes. These hazardous conditions create significant safety concerns for our transportation operations and for families traveling to and from our schools. Watson Chapel School District will hold a school board meeting Monday December 8, 2025 at 6:00PM located at 4100 Camden Rd, Pine Bluff AR 71603

We are closely monitoring the weather and road conditions in our area. At this time, all schools plan to operate on a normal schedule. However, if road conditions change, we will communicate any decision regarding a delayed start or school closure early in the morning. Notifications will be shared through our district messaging system, website, social media platforms, and local news outlets. WC JROTC was excited to participate as the University of Arkansas at Monticello hosted the Arkansas Supreme Court as part of the court’s “Appeals on Wheels: Bringing the Courtroom to the Community” educational outreach initiative. The unique event provided students, educators and community members an opportunity to observe the state’s highest court in action as it heard the oral argument in Case No. CR-24-690: Christopher Gamble v.
