
There are reports of a lockdown incident in Waycross, Georgia at a school that also goes by “WCHS” on social media at this time. There is NO lockdown in effect at Watson Chapel School District or any of the Watson Chapel campuses. Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.

The students at Edgewood will be taking the Arkansas Atlas Test next week. This test is very important to our student's education. We at Edgewood want to see our students do their very best. It is so important for our students to do the following:
*Getting plenty of rest/sleep
*Having a healthy breakfast
*Being on time
*Being Positive

Just wanted to remind you that there are great things going on at Edgewood in the month of September. Some of those things are as follows:
Sept 13 - Literacy Night - Come join us from 5:30-6:30
Sept 19-Tacos and Tech-This is for parents/grandparents/guardians only. No students allowed. We will talk about some of the important things you need to know. Ask questions? Please join us! 11-11:45 for lunch.
Sept 23-27-Fall Book Fair-Come and help us instill the love of reading in our students!
Sept 26-Waffles with Parents-This is for our students and their parents/grandparents/guardians only. Come have breakfast with us! Waffles, sausage & the trimmings. Watch for more info to come.
We will be setting the 1st PTO Meeting soon. We would like for you to have a voice and support our students and staff. Watch for the post about PTO. All Edgewood parents/grandparents/guardians are welcome. See you soon!
