Dear Parents and Guardians,
Earlier this morning, the district administration was made aware of a single case of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) affecting our high school community only. At this time, we are actively monitoring the situation, operating as normal, and taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families.
The district administration is working closely with the Arkansas Department of Health to assess the situation and implement appropriate health and safety protocols. This collaboration allows us to make informed decisions guided by public health expertise.
While we understand that this may cause concern, please know that we are committed to maintaining a safe learning environment. We will continue to provide timely updates as more
information becomes available and will notify you immediately of any changes that may impact school operations.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to continue practicing healthy habits, including frequent handwashing, staying home when feeling unwell, and following any guidance provided by healthcare professionals.
We appreciate your continued support and cooperation as we navigate this situation together.
Sincerely,
Dr. Keith McGee
Superintendent of Schools
