Just a reminder from Edgewood students, parents & guardians that Monday, February 19th is President's Day and there is no school!
Also, starting this week there will be no more early out Wednesdays until after May 15, 2024. We will have a full school day on each Wednesday during this time. Please make arrangements to have your student at school until 3:10 on Wednesdays. This allows us to make up 2 of our missed weather days.
Thank you for all that you do to make our school a success!

Inclement Weather Makeup Day Plan:
Days 1 & 2 will be made up on Wednesdays. Students will NOT be dismissed early on Wednesday for the remainder of the year.
Days 3 & 4 will be made up on May 29-30.

Due to the weather last week, we have decided to postpone Edgewood's awards ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd. When another date is decided upon we will let you know. Thanks for all that you do in support of our students and our school!

Watson Chapel School District will not be in session tomorrow, Friday, January 19, due to continued hazardous road conditions. Secondary roads and rural roads are still unsafe for travel.

The regular monthly school board meeting will be Monday January 22, 2024 at 6:00 pm.

The Watson Chapel School District will be assessing the side roads and back roads where our buses travel on regular routes this afternoon. The primary roads are in pretty good shape. Hopefully, there will be enough melting with rising temperatures so the routes will be safe to transport our students on Thursday morning. A decision will be made by early this evening.

The Watson Chapel School District schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 17th, due to inclement weather and road conditions.


No school on Monday, January 15, 2024 for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. Have a great break and be safe.

The January school board meeting will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 6 pm in the Board Room due to inclement weather. February's meeting will be held according to our normal schedule.

Edgewood will have normal school hours on Monday, 12/18. On Tuesday, 12/19 we will have early dismissal. All students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM. Please make arrangements to have your student picked up early on that day if they are car or van riders. We will return to school on January 4, 2024. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
